Spirituality is lived and breathed every second of the day, living and implementing of spirit’s truths in the now.  It’s not the past or the future that gives us liberation it’s the present moment. People realize peace of mind when they concentrate on doing and being here and now, and then look within themselves to find and know God.  Spirituality teaches us that true transformation exists when we change ourselves as we cannot change another.  Spirituality encourages us to work on our spiritual growth and development, to take responsibility for our own lives and connect with the dialogue within our soul and thus connect with God.  Spirituality is concerned with becoming one with the Will of God.  Spirituality exists within one’s own heart and is not dependent on something or someone outside.

How to become more spiritual:
• Journal – get to understand and know your inner most thoughts, and beliefs.  This help you see what it is you would like to shift within yourself.  It will also serve as a reminder of how much you have grown.
• Pray – allows you to speak to your Higher Source and feel connected.
• Meditate – provides the space for you to feel at peace and hear Higher Source’s response to your prayer
• Be of service to others – helping others will help you see how others’ circumstances differ from your own, to help you better understand others and how you fit into the world, and help you to develop compassion.
• Join a like-minded community – a community of like-minded people provides you with support on your spiritual journey.  Talk to your peers or a spiritual advisor about your questions and ideas.  It will help you to realize you are not alone on your quest of discovery especially when you feel most alone.
• Keep a gratitude list – when you are more conscious about what you actually have in your life you are more optimistic about the future and your life, You are more likely to attain personal, professional, interpersonal and health-related goals, and feel better in general.
• Do something that makes you happy each day.  This will lift your spirit.
• Practice Yoga – Yoga can create a peace within you and set up your mind for stimulation.
• Be outdoors, connect with nature.  This is a great way to tune into God.
• Listen to music, look at art, read a poem or inspirational book, or create any of these items yourself.  This is a great way to get inspired and connect with spirit.
• Dance – enough said.
