I have often read about the correlation made between the mind and a computer. Our mind like a computer holds data and other information. We hold memories and beliefs among other things in a file. Some of our beliefs act like computer viruses that if not scanned and cleaned can wipe out all of our good data (those wonderful memories we have, the goodness we believe ourselves to be, our own perceptions about our lives and the people in it). These computer viruses or our mind’s limiting beliefs can wreak havoc on our lives. They can come up during the most awkward times. For example – I had this belief that I wasn’t enough. I attracted a relationship with someone whom I adored and wanted to create a long term relationship with. However, this person also believed I wasn’t enough. Even though at first glance it seemed this person believed I was a package deal in reality what they showed me was the opposite. But how could I expect any more of this person? I didn’t believe I was enough so how could my partner believe otherwise?
Changing your world is about changing the perceptions you have about you – those limiting beliefs you have stored in your mind. To clean out your mind you first must scan your thoughts. You can tell what you think about the most by what you attract into your life and also by how you feel. Do you walk around telling everyone you feel great but inside you feel like crap? And do you see the crap being reflected right back at you in your relationships, your work, etc.?
Take a moment now and get in touch with your body. Notice the sensations you feel and where you feel them. Do you allow yourself to feel the pain and disappoint? The guilt or shame? The fear and sorrow? Or do you run away from it the moment it comes up? These feelings when you allow yourself to feel and release them magically heal and transform you. And feeling good about you is always honoring who you are and loving yourself unconditionally. It is choosing to remember all the wonderful things you have experienced in your life and the gifts you do possess right now here in this moment. The second I was able to let go and be me was the exact second I attracted relationships with people who feel I am love.
Changing your perceptions about you will change your perceptions about the world and those beliefs will change your life. When you feel good about you, you attract good to you. When you feel sexy about you, you attract sexy to you. When you feel love towards you, you attract love to you.
LOVE YOURSELF! Weekly Assignment
1) Clean out one of your draws. Notice what you can get rid of and what you can’t do with out.
2) Do a scan of your mental thoughts. Is there a recurring theme of a belief – I am not enough, not worthy, not lovable, not good, don’t deserve, etc.? Are you willing to let go of this belief?
3) Is there a belief you can store in place of the one noted in #2
4) Check your draw and your mind. Does it feel good to you after the clean? If not, repeat the process again.
You are so loved so love yourself just as much.
